Ponytrap performing a SXSW 2018 showcase
Ponytrap had a fun and successful SXSW 2018. We were an official artist for this year’s event with a showcase at the Hideout Theatre on Friday, March 16. The show was a blast and we hit the streets all week with the machines where we made lots of noise and lots of friends!

Ponytrap’s Promethean Waltz
Ponytrap was excited to present our multi-media show Promethean Waltz twice in 2016 and thrilled to have the Austin Chronicle rank the show as one of the top ten theater arts performances of the year!

More good stuff for 2015, the Ponytrap Year of the Robot: Make Magazine found us through Austin’s Mini Maker Faire and asked us to create a make-your-own-drummer project. It was challenging to come up with a design that represented our machines, functioned nicely and was simple enough to build as a DIY project, but we think it came out pretty strong! MakeZine.com published the article today and we’ve gotten some great response – go have a look for yourself, and build you a drummer!
